    Hi Barbara,

great to hear your interest towards our product!

    Hi Barbara,

Your age is obviously important, and we recommend you visit a doctor prior to start heavy training (but I'm sure you are aware of that already).

Our service will of course help you to fine tune your training, and specially track your recovery. I think this will be an important tool for you to become the best in your age group.

However, we want to be cautious with you, and we propose that our scientist would monitor you data if you test yourself daily and provide us with your training log, so we can monitor your progress and identify any early signs of problems. Would that be a suitable solution for you?

  • Mind if I join in? I turn 70 this month and have been using your service a couple of months. My question is that the recommended top HR zones are much higher than anything I have used which leads me to believe they are not completely age adjusted.. Also, within a day, my readiness sometimes swings wildly. Yesterday I started at a 9, swam for an hour, watched some kids soccer and checked before my long run and it had dropped to a 2. Is this normal?

  • Hi Don,

the highest HR number you see on the app, is the HR at maximum oxygen intake that we calculate based on our methods using your metabolic data. It's not MHR based on any formulae.

Based on your results this means that you have very strong and healthy heart, but taking account your age you should use your consideration if you want to train with the anaerobic zones.

If you think that values are too high, we are adding possibility to set manually your anaerobic threshold value to our coming new application version. This will adjust all zones based on this value.

Values can vary a lot during the day, especially if you doing hard exercises during the day.
